Atlantic City Casino Development Head Appointed

On March 4, 2007, a brand new economic development head for Atlantic City, New Jersey was announced. The Office of Governor Corzine announced the appointment of Diane Legreide to the brand new created post to the position of Director of the Atlantic City Projects in the New Jersey Office of Economic Growth.

Atlantic City is the second largest casino gambling destination in the United States, next to the Las Vegas strip so it is imperative that a new economic development head is chosen immediately for Atlantic City. Diane Legreide spent 8 years on the Casino Control Commission before being appointed to the position of Director of the Atlantic City Projects in the Office of Economic Growth in the state.

According to the office of Governor Corzine, Legreide is expected to lend a hand in creating cooperation between the Atlantic City Casino Industry and the regulatory commissions and governing commissions in Atlantic City. She will also be in charge of supervising the ongoing economic development projects in Atlantic City as well as in the casino industry.
