Penn Nationals subsidiary, Penn Hollywood, is buying the 50% interest of Cordish at the Wyandotte County casino project. The group is collaborating with Kansas Speedway on the project.

Howard Dreitzer was appointed by CEO James Allen as Seminole Gaming Chief Operating Officer on August 14th, 2009. Dreitzer led the successful banked card games launched at Seminole casinos.

Carl Icahn succeeded in acquiring the Tropicana Casino before bankruptcy court. Gilbert Brooks said that the casino will be likely given to Icahn and his investment group by the end of the year.
